Drosera binata 'Multifida Extrema' is one of the most distinctive forms of the Forked Sundew, producing leaves that branch repeatedly into dozens of sticky growing tips. As the plant matures, the intricate leaf structure becomes more pronounced, giving it a unique appearance that stands out from other sundews.
Each plant is sold as a small starter in a 2.5-inch clear round plastic pot. While these plants are still young, they are vigorous growers and can develop into impressive specimens with proper care.
Like other sundews, 'Multifida Extrema' captures small insects using sticky dew produced on its leaves. The combination of its highly divided foliage and sparkling dew makes it a favorite among both new growers and longtime carnivorous plant enthusiasts.

Care Information
This sundew grows best in bright light to full sun. Strong lighting encourages compact growth, healthy branching, and heavy dew production.
Water only with distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Keep the growing media consistently moist and never allow it to dry completely.
These plants are grown in a nutrient-free mix of sphagnum peat moss and perlite. Avoid fertilizers and standard potting soils, as excess nutrients can damage the roots.
Drosera binata is one of the more vigorous sundew species and can quickly size up under good growing conditions. As the plant matures, it will produce increasingly complex leaves with more divisions and growing points.
