Nepenthes albomarginata is a lowland tropical pitcher plant known for the distinctive white band just below the peristome of its pitchers. This unique feature gives the species its name and makes it one of the most recognizable Nepenthes in cultivation.
Each plant is sold as a small starter in a 2.5-inch clear round plastic pot. At this stage, the plant is focused on root development, and will gradually begin producing larger pitchers as it matures.
In nature, Nepenthes albomarginata is especially known for its unusual feeding behavior involving termites, though in cultivation it will readily capture a wide range of small insects through its pitfall-style pitchers.
This species is valued by growers for its unique appearance, manageable growth habit, and reliable pitcher production once established.

Care Notes
This lowland species grows best in warm, stable temperatures year-round with high humidity and good airflow. Consistent warmth helps encourage steady growth and pitcher development.
Use only distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Keep the growing media moist but never waterlogged.
Plants are grown in a nutrient-free mix of long-fiber sphagnum moss, orchid bark, perlite, and charcoal. Avoid fertilizers, standard potting soils, and mineral-rich water sources.
As the plant matures, it will begin to produce larger pitchers and may eventually develop climbing growth with proper support.
